OFFICE LOCATION: Layton Dr. Hart’s treatment approach is interactive. He focuses on underlying, causative factors in a person’s or couple’s problems, and on their positive strengths. His theoretical orientation includes both contemporary psychoanalytic and cognitive-behavioral therapy, incorporating solution-focused approaches as needed. Dr. Hart has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University and a PhD in Clinical Social Work from the University of Denver, Colorado. Furthermore, Dr. Hart completed Postdoctoral training at the Chicago Center of Psychoanalytic Studies and has over 23 years of varied experience in clinical psychology. While at Michigan State, Dr. Hart was selected onto the Beta Chapter – Phi Alpha Honor Society in Clinical Psychotherapy. Presently, he is involved in research on the application of positive psychology and physical/mental health. Dr. Hart belongs to several professional organizations, including the Wisconsin Psychoanalytic Society and the American Board of Examiners where he is a Board-Certified Diplomat.
