OFFICE LOCATION: Layton Joanne is dually licensed in the state of Wisconsin as a Clinical Social Worker and as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her practice is limited to adults. She focuses on helping clients develop healthy relationships – within themselves, with partners, peers and family, and with the community at large. She has over thirty five years in clinical practice, and she specializes in the treatment of trauma, depression and anxiety, grief and loss, and marital/relationship issues. Joanne holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, and a Bachelors Degree in English and Education from Marquette University. Her post-graduate training includes completion of a two-year externship in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Family Therapy Training Institute, and completion of the Trauma Counseling Certification Program through the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She is currently pursuing certification in Clinical Hypnosis through the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis. Joanne is a clinical member of that organization, as well as The International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and The National Association of Social Work.
