Maya is a trauma-informed therapist who works with adults in a compassionate, client-centered, and nonjudgmental environment. Her approach is grounded in cultural competence and cultural humility, honoring each client’s cultural, spiritual, and family background as an essential part of the therapeutic process.

She focuses on trauma-focused care, boundary-building, and exploring family dynamics, supporting clients as they work toward personal goals, emotional healing, and meaningful personal growth. Maya believes therapy should be collaborative and empowering, meeting clients where they are and moving at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

As a Muslim therapist, Maya is especially mindful of how identity, faith, and intergenerational experiences can influence mental health and relationships. She strives to create an inclusive and respectful space for clients from diverse backgrounds, including those who may have previously felt misunderstood or unheard in therapy. Maya offers services in both English and Arabic, allowing clients to express themselves in the language that feels most natural to them.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:  

Maya received her Master’s degree in Social Work and her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from UW-Milwaukee.
