Sam uses a multimodal therapeutic approach, pulling from experience primarily in Person-Centered and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) modalities, in an effort to not only build client competency towards management of their symptoms, but find a path forward towards mental and emotional stability that takes into account their unique personalities and goals. Sam has a clinical background in working with clients struggling with both mental health and substance use disorders, working with clients as a clinician conducting Dual Diagnosis IOP group and individual sessions, with a spectrum of acuities for symptoms. Sam has experience with clinical issues such as mood dysregulation (anger, low mood, mood swings), anxiety, substance abuse, trauma-related symptoms, Borderline Personality Disorder, and maladaptive behavioral patterns.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Sam received his undergraduate degree in Psychology in 2020, and graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2022. Sam completed training towards competency in Dialectical Behavior Therapy in 2023.

Constructed curriculum and successfully conducted sessions for the Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program at Ascension-Columbia St. Mary’s, Milwaukee Campus.
