If one of your resolutions for the New Year is to get outside and exercise more, why not try snowshoeing? This is a great opportunity to get outside and make the most of the snowy and cold weather and perhaps shake off the winter blahs. Compared to some other outdoor winter activities, snowshoeing is inexpensive, you can rent snowshoes and poles to try it out, and there are some great trails throughout the Milwaukee area to snowshoe.

One place to go snowshoeing In Milwaukee is Havenwoods State Forest, which offers 6 miles of looping trails to snowshoe over 237 acres. The trails are relatively easy, so are great for beginners. Enter at 6141 N Hopkins St, Milwaukee, WI 53209. Havenwoods is open daily at 6 am and stays open until 8 pm. Snowshoes can be borrowed when the nature center is open.
