Many people throughout the Midwest USA found themselves buried by a series of snowstorms in mid-January 2024. The winter season went from calm and relatively warm to full-on over a foot of snow and below freezing temperatures in a matter of 3 days. Many people had to deal with power outages and the threat of bursting plumbing pipes due to this weather, in addition to shoveling and plowing out.
